Speaking as someone who played Gears for two years, then was horrified by how terrible they'd made 2, Gears 3 is a step in the right direction again, but they couldn't help but to fuck up the balance by adding some unnecessary weapons which aren't in balance with the rest of the weapons.

FFXIV is an MMO. FFXIII-2 (like FFX-2) is a continuation of that game. Although there were already 3 different FFXIII games and stories.

Played some of the older FF games on the PS2 with blitzball and stuff like that, think that was 10-2 or whatever. I like the games, but I would definitely wait for it to go down in price before buying.

I contend this point. Black Ops has sold around 12-13 million copies total across all platforms (360/PS3/PC/Wii/DS), there are approximately 54 million Xbox 360s, 50 million PS3s and 87 million Wiis, not the mention PCs ...

I don't mind dedicated servers, but I do hate matchmaking for unranked games, 5-a-side and the sluggishness of 2. The Gears 3 Beta was encouraging in some ways, but not sure if I'll be playing it for long if they don't balance out the retro lancer.
