sound problem

Post by Raksha »

My sound on the headset is still switched. Left comes out right side and right comes out left side.
I tried with different Headsets.
Only the front panels are affected. Backside panels are working normal.
I checked the connection inside the PC.
There is only 1 way connecting the Front Panels to the mainboard what I did.

Suggestions?

P.S.:
- I put on my headset the correct way.
- No, I won't put it on the other way.

Well you can try and get the case company to send you a replacement front panel.

Or just get a headphone extension cable and run it around the case to the front. They only cost a few euros.

I said the headset is giving the wrong direction of the sound.
Speaker works fine.

Did you try to plugin normal speakers on the frontpanel? If those work, it's probably a problem with the headset.

It seems that on the speakers I don't have any differentiation of sound.
2 headsets show the same problem on the fron panel and work fine on the back panel.

Then contact the case manufacturer tell them the front audiojack is screwed and they will send you a replacement, you will probably have to cover postage and maybe even buy the unit.

Check the BIOS settings in which mode the frontpanel connectors are configured. Usually you can pick between AC97 and HD Audio. Regardless what it is, test the different option.
