Problem With SWRC
So, my friend bought RepCom from Steam today and he installed it, and when he joins a server it crashes. I told him a million time to put down his bumpmapping and he did, and i saw that he did, and it still crashes. Any suggestions?

I don't think it's a network problem... they don't cause game crashes.

Re: Problem With SWRC
Am I good?
=> It's your graphic card! It's too weak for 3D games. If you only want to play RepCom or some older games just buy a cheap AGP(or PCI or what you need) graphic card. There're some cards for around 20€. Depends on you what you want to do with it.

Re: Problem With SWRC
Well... to be honest: the pc must be older than 10 years ;) 478MB ram is just hilarious He should think about buying a new PC - there some PCs for 150€ which may be ok for him.

Re: Problem With SWRC
Uhm, are you guys blind or something? This computer is a laptop! You won't be able to upgrade anything in it, except of the hard disk or the RAM. But what you can do is updating the Intel graphics drivers for sure! Maybe you get RepCom to work atleast at minimum settings.

I strongly recommend upgrading the RAM to atleast 1GB.

Re: Problem With SWRC
Who cares? I said it's the graphic card and that's right. It would be waste of money to buy new ram... these components are just too old!

No. I don't say "buy more RAM to play games". More RAM will make the system faster and more stable, because 480 MB is not enough to work with it fully without problem.S.T.O.R.M. wrote:Who cares? I'm sure RepCom will run with lowest settings with the new Intel driver.

Re: Problem With SWRC
Ye sure.. but the whole componenets are too old! If you can get some ram for 3 euro ok, but othwerwise I'd invest it in a new pc/notebook.

Re: Problem With SWRC
Pentium M was a really good and fast CPU. This laptop is a very handy device for using at school/university etc. for work. It's more than worth it to upgrade the RAM.
