Max Payne installation

Post by Acer »

Hey guys,
maybe you can help me. I tried to install Max Payne, it's an old game maybe from 2000. But still one of my favorites.
But everytime I run the installation an error message appears and I have to start from the very beginning. The errors appears always at the same time. (at about 11% of the installation)

I'm not sure whether my PC is too new and the game just to old to run it... it's not the original cd, but that shouldn't be the problem, because the cd worked on my old pc.

Information about my system:

Vista 32 Bit
RAM 3GB
Intel core duo CPU, 2,53GHz
graphic card: Nividia Gforce 9500 GS 512MB

That error message appears:

Thanks in advance, I hope you have an idea what the prob might be!

Go to my computer, right click on CD, open in new window.
CTRL+A
then
CTRL+V
Go to desktop, create folder
Open folder, press CTRL+C
Run setup.exe or something along those lines.

Will rule out all problems with it being the CD. If that doesent work try doing this this

Right click setup.exe then click properties. Now onto compatability tick 'run as administrator' and then change the compatibility mode to Windows 2000/XP.
