I now dislike ATI. I bought a HD 5770 Vapor-X. I am thoroughly disappointed with it and wish I went with a GTX 260.Judge wrote:ATI ftw.
Re: Spec Views
The 5770 is a great card. What's wrong with it?

Buying a Laptop or a Dekstop?
For Laptops this price is ...okay but Desktop PC can have much bettr Specs for this price. Gefrce 285 1GB should be in your Computer at least, you dont neeed DirctX 11 card right now. And Processor the i5 780 (4x2.8ghz *Overclocked* -> 3.6ghz each core) is really great. ;)

Even for a notebook it's too expensive.Soldy' wrote:For Laptops this price is ...okay
Why not? He's buying a new computer right now. I don't think he's going to do that every year....Soldy' wrote:you dont neeed DirctX 11 card right now.
Way too expensive. I suggest going with an AMD Phenom II X4 or even X6. Best performance for the best price.Soldy' wrote:And Processor the i5 780 (4x2.8ghz *Overclocked* -> 3.6ghz each core) is really great. ;)

Re: Spec Views
I linked him to a comp with that processor, 4gb 1333mhz ram and a bunch of other stuff, decent case, OS, etc. For £550. (Doesn't have a graphics card with it, only integrated... can buy a card himself).Vash wrote:You get the AMD Phenom II X6 1055T SixCore 6x2.80 GHz for 180 Euros...
Anyways Vash, my 5770 - the FPS is inconsistant, I have upto-date drivers, 0% fragmented pc... I know another guy with a 5770, not the vapor-x edition but anyway, the fps on his is inconsistant too.
By inconsistant I mean, staying at a very high fps then dropping every 10 seconds or so, causing FPS lag etc.
Yes Soldy. 6 cores have been released.
