When i bought my laptop 4 years ago i got a external hard disc as a present. it was the maxtor personal storage 3200 with 300 GB.

It is possible to open the case ant use it as an internal hard disc aswell?
It's way too big for an external one and it weights about 1 kilo...

But it is possible that this is an IDE drive. Modern computers don't have IDE ports anymore.... not all, but most of them. Which mainboard do you have?

Supports up to 2 IDE drives as far as I know, before you try to use your external harddrive you should check how many IDE drives you currently have.Raksha wrote:mobo:
