Here's a good read about performance.
1920x1080 (HD) on a 3.4Ghz quadcore, 4GB ram and ATi 5850 seemingly gets minimum 35fps.

Seems BF3 won't be as bad as people are expecting in terms of performance.

Re: Battlefield 3 - Performance
Looks worse than expected, especially the plants.
The level design is a bit disappointing as well, not very detailed:
Textures and fire at the tank look bad as well:
Expected it to look a bit better tbh.

This are alpha screenshots, this isn't the full graphic.
I'm sure the graphic will be much better in the Beta and in the release.

Performance will be better than the Alpha. These are near max graphics.

It will be released in one month - do you think they are still working on the core graphics and the engine right now? No. They rather care about bugfixes and smaller stuff.Grace wrote:This are alpha screenshots, this isn't the full graphic.

I played the BFBC2 Beta and the graphic did not change a bit until the release, neither did Crysis 2. It's just too late to change such things (except they release a patch with HD textures in some months, like Crytek did, but not until next month). :)

You won't need over 4gig. But with the price of RAM you should grab some :D
