EA's new user agreement

Post by Crimson »

I simply cannot agree with something like this, just out of principle. Since Origin is required to play the game I'm not sure if I'm even going to get BF3.

Don't really care. I would never have a reason to put a lawsuit against EA, you have 1% chance of winning anyway.

I use origin anyway for BFBC2, and I plan to buy BF3 on it because Origin is excellent. I mean if people can put up with steam then there should be no problem.

No the reason this is important is because these corporations are degrading our rights. Most likely this is due to them being afraid of us the consumers raising our voices due to content that is only partially finished being sold to us. This happened to Activision when a group of consumers in the UK reported to the Fair Trade Office because of Black Ops for the PC and PS3 was released unfinished.

Personally I'm tired of game publishers screwing with us by not allowing game developers finish or polish a project properly, leaving us with a crappy game and 50 euros less.

Well actually there is a difference between saying something is shit and refusing to buy any further games, then raising a lawsuit versus a large corporation such as EA.

Of course, but its only the first step in applying legal pressure. Though I don't know enough about that sort of thing to be sure.

Well actually it says the user cannot take them to court. However, for example Trading standards. They aren't a user, so could still rape the ass off EA if need be.
