Our 2 mod servers.

Currently we're having 2 different public mod servers, the "old" 2009 MOD Server and the new WarPack server.
But as you all know, RepCom's community is not really big, so I think 2 mod servers are not needed, at least 1 mostly stays empty.
Also the download is confusing because we currently got 3 different map packs to download (WarPack 2, 2009 Maps and the 2005-2009 mappack), sometimes people downloaded 2009 even though they wanted the WarPack etc.

My idea would be just to use one mod server in future and publish only one mappack at all, sothat everyone just has to download this one mappack can can futher play on any TX server.

It would if course be great of these maps do not have to be updated at anytime, so we would use really good maps only and make some kind of poll which maps should be used.
In my opinion, and when Vash agrees, this would make things much easier in the future.

But if we want achieve that everyone is happy with just one mappack, it has to contain some really good maps to keep the people playing it, I was thinking about the 30-35 bext TX maps of all times.
And because people always complained about a few maps in each mappack, I would suggest to include the community in the work this time and give it a chance to influence the map's choise.

What do you think about this idea?
I have not talked to Vash yet, but I think he would not disagree with this since it is basically the same idea I had with the mappack 2010 which I cancelled then.

I thought the same, 1 WP-server and 1 MOD-map server is useless. Just make only the legendary MOD server.

I do fully agree with you.
If i want to play on one of them, they're mostly empty, or if one of them is allready used, they won't join in the other Server.
Also many People didn't got some of the Mod Maps we are currently playing
and so it would be great if in 1 Mappack would be all Map's.

Yes, but we should make sure that all maps are used, there are some really epic mapps out of the 2005-2009 MapPack, which deserve to be used on the "Unique" Mod Server then.

I totally agree , 1 server is enough , and these maps u screened are rly nice , sounds perfect to me. since there are some maps the people hate and leave , like Lavabase (i hope i am right about the name) the map that has lava in the middle and shotties at spawn. and some windows u can close/open , every1 hates this map lol. whenever i join it , all ppl flame =D

I think we would have a good mix with the rotation I posted 2 days ago, we could also add the new Tatooine map I just made.
We'd have a few arenas then, some maps in the well known Engine-style, Kamino maps, Tatooine maps, a few maps with the old style (like Old A17) and also a couple of Kashyyyk & Garden maps, but even a map like Hangar, Lockdown, Canyon and a shipmap.

I'm thinking about adding the old TX-TD map as well.
The only problem I'd see is that these are pretty many arena maps, some other maps would not be bad I think.
Is there anyone who'd make a map (or a few) or does anyone has a map he'd suggest?

Or at least post some more feedback about the rotation, since the outcome is better and more people are happy when we get more support with it. :)
