Well its sadly true that Crysis 2 was optimized for consoles and therefore failed on the PC end, but that doesn't mean the engine is not impressive.

Unfortunately the full potential of the CryEngine3 is not used in Crysis 2, not even if you unlock some features as AA. At least they just officialy announced DX11 to come, without a date but so far we did not even know if they are really working on it.
