3 ideas for new game "modes"

I have recently been thinking about some ways to make the gameplay of RepCom at least a bit more entertaining, but on an easy way. I had 3 ideas:

1:
-You can just use 1 nade per life and not pickup new ones
-No pistol - no speed advantage
-No bacta, you cannot restore health
=> All these changes could be done on the server without downloading something. It would be some kind of "hardcore mode". Maybe with pistol, but definitely no bacta and just 1 nade. Possible for CTF and TD.


2: The following game mode can be created just on the maps.
-Normal CTF maps, but changed spawn points
-Trando spawn at Rep base
-Rep spawn at Trando base
=> This would be a bit like "assault" but with 2flags and no time limit. You can directly take the flag and your teammates need to cover you until you reach your own base.


3: A change for the DM mode
-Whoever dies will be moved to spectator mode
-The one who survives is the winner
One round could be played very fast and after each round you need to reset. Maybe we can enable autoreset for it.

What do you think? Should we give it a try?

I like the idea of the second version, that could be a lot of fun ;)

I'm not sure about the first one, as I'm not sure if much people would play this gamemode, but worth a try.

Edit:

Regarding Idea 3: If it's possible without downloading anything it's alright, but otherwise I think people won't download anything for that.

I think they're all great ideas, we already spoke how the 1st could be built in as a 'game ender' into normal game modes, would need testing to see if it actually made the game quicker though.

I think the 3rd idea is great, but without auto-reset I don't think anyone would play it often.

I really like the third option. Though I see a problem : anyone could reconnect on the server when he dies, then he would have a new life and the game would never end... unless you find a way to "ban" the member who left from the server only during the match.

I love the second one, I already had though about a game mode like that it could be awesome!

I also like the 3rd mode, maybe we should only count the kills of the winner's round ? so that you obtain points when you win a round with the number of kills you did during this round, and the first at 30 (for example) win.

I think the third mode would be awesome but I agree with shit ppl wouldn't download it.

Then make the blaster do 1 shot. Oterhwise low-ping players have absolutley no way to kill somebody x))))

That makes no sense lol. Lower ping will still have the advantage?

Your 2nd idea is pretty nice, and the 3rd is absolutely awesome.

But about the 1st one, I'm not sure, probably because I'm not a skillz0r and that type of game would just create a bigger abyss between ''great skill'' players and other players.
Using just one nade per life would be cool because you'll have to think before using it, but about no pistol and no bacta... practically you're constricted to fight without any way to escape if you meet another player, and that's ok for ''great skill'' players, but if (e.g.) in a match I gotta fight many times against Vash or Storm or Ironhide and so on, without pistol and bacta, I think 98% of that times I would be killed and to be honest it's not so funny when you get killed every time and kill your enemies just 2-3 times.
