There will be an ambiguity in what the player answers. Of course that everybody knows the answer, but when he says "A", the host of the show will select option "A", not option "C". If he says "C", the host of the show will select option"A" again, because he'll think that he says directly the answer, not the option.

Oh btw, I would just like to add. On the game show in the image above which is
'Who wants to be a millionaire', you always give your answer by the choice letter, not the actual answer content.

A contest would say, "My answer is C, the letter A"
