By the way, the optimal brithness is 5,
For every map in Republic Commando.
If you play with 8 the athmophere will be lost.

No-flame against the map even though you could make it brighter.
Engine? I belive its alot brighter than your current map.
Im not flaming, i just hate to see lightin that is set to the whole map, instead of making a sexy lighting that adds up. Sorry if you find this offensive, you wont lose the "atmosphere" if you make the map brighter.
Its ok to have a little light that effects the whole map but really LITTLE, just to avoid that places arn't black.

but icepwn knows how to map and it´s a matter of fact that he´s one of the more experienced mappers around here so i would listen to his advice...

It's not because you are a "mapper" that you know whats a good map more than me ... Puting light and statics meshes isn't everythings, I saw mappers saying " My maps is exellent, it will be very fun" and finally, map sucks like hell, because there is no constructive stuffs and they wasn't made logically ... Hey guys why don't you try to create a new CTF map?
Something like Engine with vents, where you can hide and so on.
That would be a revolutionary change. Most ppl are tired to play ctf on the same maps lile engine, lockdown and kachiro.
Something new, that would be great!
Btw I really like your maps Soldy and Icepwn keep on doing that nice job.
