22-year old Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel has moved from FC Utrecht to Sporting Lissabon. Van Wolfswinkel, who has 1 cap behind his name, has signed a five-year contract with a leave-option for €22 mio. Supposedly €5,4 mio were involved in his move.

I don't know if anyone of you heard this already, but italian football's fallen again in a huge bet-scandal (the latest one was in 2007) which involves many Serie B matches (Atalanta is the most involved team) and even some Serie A's ones.

Den Haag keeper Gino Coutinho has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after being found guilty of owning a major cannabis farm, forgery and money laundering.

The 28-year-old former Netherlands under 21 international and his girlfriend were both jailed yesterday. The offences relate to an August 2009 raid on a warehouse that contained more than 4,200 marijuana plants.

Coutinho pleaded his innocence, despite being in the warehouse at the time of the raid and the fact that the building was registered in his name.

He has been at Den Haag since 2008 and, until yesterday, was the Eredivisie side’s first-choice keeper. The club is fifth in the league and on the verge of qualifying for next season’s Europa League.

Coutinho might just about make it back for the knockout stages if he behaves himself since there has been no indication yet that he has been sacked by the club.
