Ok, ive seen alot of maps that are like not very good (dont get offended, im not insulting you or your work, rather encouraging you :) i love mappers) and are mostly just 2 textures on the whole map.

Here is an example.

this really doesnt look good does it? Where is the light coming from? :confused:

What you can do is, you can add trims around the walls, split the wall up and add multiple textures instead of the same one tiling over and over again. Add some lights so it makes sence that theres light there.

Heres what i did with it.

(look at the bottom floor wall, mid wall, and the ceiling. Its not all the same texture). :shocked:

That is a lamp or spotlight. Not the sun. (I get that shine effect from using corona settings on lights, might post a tut for it later).

Some light trims.

If you dont like what i did, think its too bright w/e, go play on screenshot 1.

Anyways, i hope to see much more detailed and more time spent on maps in the future :up:

Good isea to tell otehrs that their Maps are to Empty and no structuable (xD)
But in which folader are theseThings ahere the crates are on/under it ?

Yea, I'm so agree with icepwn here. Lightning and textures are really important to make the map look good.

I didnt use flicker or pulse. Try to do good lighting before messing with them. Its easy to make a flicker one, but not as easy to make it look good.

Its a very nice "example" i hope u can pimp it up to your normal map standard cos so many ppl likin its style already . seem a shame to leave in de cupboard in dark.unused ,unloved ...boohooo :frown:
It look to me like a post post modernist space church or sumthing. :wink:
