Headset problem

Post by SAMO »

Hello there,

I have a headset problem ...

The fact is my computer doesn't detect my headset anymore ...
I have 2 holes to put my headset's cables and when I put the red in the red and the green in the black nothing happens ... Neither headset neither micro.
When I try the green cable in the red hole it detect the headset but not the micro <.>

2 weeks ago I put the micro cable in my USB port and my computer rebooted by himself ... Since this time it doesn't work anymore ... I can't make a screen of that coz I can't open my sound key ... But I'll try tomorrow

Thanks for reading

And do you plug your headset in the same "holes" like your speakers?

Try the green for sound. I have my Headset Mic in pink and Headset Sound in green.
Btw did you say your pc that he should use your Headset for sound?

Well I tryed all possible combinaisons and it's all the same ... I only have sound.
I don't know, it was working perfectly and one day nothing more ... Maybe something changed but I'm really sceptic to that ...

Vash@ Hmm my speakers are fixed behind my computer, then no.

Try using the ports on the back side of your computer. Use the speaker output for your headset.

I have the same problem since i had a windows update three days ago (maybe that is the problem), tried everything that has already been mentioned here, googled again yesterday and after this I even can`t here my opponenet anymore. In the worst case I still was able to hear the other but since I did some changes in Realtek it`s totally messed up and I`m tired of it.
Realtek usually puts the mic on the headphone too. When I plug in mic, the green arrow of the headset turns pink so I hear myself on my headphones and the mic symbol isn`t even visible.
