Anti Virus Program
Hey man,
which program do you prefer? I'm looking for a new one, because AVG is the hell. It should be for free and good. Is Avira nice?

No it's not. It's better than nothing, but shit compared to good commercial ones.S.T.O.R.M. wrote:Bullshit... AV is excellent.Viper wrote:Freeware AVP's are gay...
I'm using G Data AntiVirus since 6 years and it's great (started with version 2005, now I got 2011) and it's always winning the tests.
@ Viper
Kaspersky got a good engine. But I hate their GUI... it's just gay. Go with G Data. It's Kaspersky + Avast engine combined (in fact two AV's in one!) and WAY better interface.

Re: Anti Virus Program
Well.. ok there're better anti virus programmes.. but they're not for free. Panda AV Platinum Internet Security is the best one at the moment (chip.de) and costs 80 Euro. As I never had/have problems with viruses AV is fine for me.

Re: Anti Virus Program
Internet Security suites are the gayest shit on earth. You don't need 99% of the additional shit coming with them. A pure, good AV is the way better choice. It won't take over your computer, it won't slow it down, it doesn't block all the things and most important point: it won't annoy.
Chip.de? Do you also believe in BILD, hmm?
Panda sucks and always sucked.
Go with G Data, Kaspersky or BitDefender. Avast ain't bad either.

Re: Anti Virus Program
It's not for free. If you want something good, you have to pay the price. That's it.
But 20 Euros per year isn't that much right?

Is there a possibility to buy it at "Media Markt" or whatever? I bought things from the Internet one or two times in my life. ^^
Is Avira the best freeware program?

Of course you can buy it there. But I have no idea what the pricing is...Matzey wrote:Is there a possibility to buy it at "Media Markt" or whatever?
Btw. Amazon is like one of the most trustable online shops I know. Their work is always fast and correct and trustworthy.
Yes kinda. But if you have Win7: You can also use the Windows Defender. It's not bad and less annoying than Avira.Matzey wrote:Is Avira the best freeware program?
