Republic Commando "2"
I think we should try to work on a "RC2", we just use promod as basic and add more new stuff and remove/replace all the old things.
Those are things that are possible:
•Removing all old weapons, creating new ones.
•Creating a co-op multiplayer part
•Creating a new singleplayer campaign
•New teams (neither trando nor rep)
•Instead of clone wars we could work on a empire/rebels atmosphere
•New effects, explosions, sounds, voices, music etc.
•Creating more game modes
-What we can not change. The graphics and engine, but everything around it.
A lot of stuff actually, but would be a great result. If we share the work wisely, it would be possible and not that much as it sounds like.

What can u call this mod without getting trouble ? TXtreme Republic Commando ?

i still been experimenting with adding weps to rc .In SP i think there less trouble with adding weps in MP is the hassle. As u know from promod IRON will need to experiment .
Try add a Base class wep in inventory then the subclass for MP from it. and the pikups same Root for SP then the subclass for MP,. When i did this last time i just made it a root entry and MP and i had trouble and it took so long to get to that point i was bushed haha so not tried again since.
But HOCKEY the american modder has had much succes doing this stuff here is latest arctrooper mod link if u want to download and disseminate it.

With this viewer, you can convert .msh files to .wrl and so you can import it in Blender. But I don't remember if you need any plugin or not. In blender, you can convert to .ase or to .obj and import it in xsi to convert it into .ase (:[/QUOTE]

Supress the cube and it probably will work. The cube is useless

I know a french guy who is working on it, he knows a lot about modding (empire/rebels skins, weapons etc..)

Had a little chat with Ironhide and I will be in charge of making the new campaign. Meaning I will create the story line and make most levels. If you want to help me in this or if you have any good ideas contact me in Xfire.

Sounds like a cool idea, but I would think almost impossible to realize. The amount of time you're gonna have to invest is huge! Anyways I'll also try and see what I can do (if I can find something to do) to help.
I have one request already though. Could it be possible for you guys to find out a way to enable demo recording. This would be amazing for recording clips. Its already part of the engine, but it seems Lucasarts disabled it...

Modifications are allowed since they released an Editor. But I don't think we are allowed to create a "new game".

Sometimes even the basics of the code are too much editing. New Textures, Models & Maps are allowed. But I am not really sure when it comes to creating a new code for Co-op or a new singleplayer campaign ;/

I think it is legal as long as it is only possible to download it when you have RC already.
