ok,first i can tell you that there isn't a huge difference between sv 9 and 10.so i recommand to buy sv9 incase of sv10.a new sv cost nearly 600euros but you can search for cheaper versions like sv9 one ebay etc

before buying a program like that you should try the test version...

SV9 will be fine for everyone but professionals who need the latest tech.

And SV10 isnt 600, only the pro editions. The platinum ones are about 80 euros, about 20 more than SV9, in this case, get SV10. :)

Not to mention the fact it hurts the developers that create the software. Imagine if you write a program and then someone steals it and you get no money for all of the hard work you put into it. And creating a program as advanced as Sony Vegas requires a hell of a lot of work.

discussion of breaching copyright laws is bound to be against forum rules. Also, no one here needs to have Sony Vegas when freeware video editors will suffice.

And I wouldn't recommend viewing videos on how to crack Sony products, since youtube gave them multiple IP's of people who viewed geohots technically legal jailbreaking videos :)

They wouldn't go to a shop and steal a physical copy because its all about the chances of being caught. The internet grants the illusion of anonymity. Though in the case of Sony Vegas you don't even need to download the software itself illegally...

Downloading the software is legal in many countries, applying cracks or using stolen serial keys is illegal in all developed countries. Some people don't think people deserved to be paid for their work, heh, their employers shouldn't pay them for a months work and they'd go insane... It's all about principal really.

On-topic, I'd recommend you get Sony Vegas 10, there's barely any difference in the price from 9.
