DM SERVER

I had the DM server running on a Virtual Machine (VM), to be able to realize stats logging and server messaging. But some virus/trojan/malware etc. fucked up the VM, so the VM started attacking other servers around the world. I didn't see anything changed, it was in the background. Then my server provider blocked the IP adress, the VM was using and the DM server got cut off the internet. I set up a new VM with latest updates and anti virus program, just ready to use. But I need to wait until my server provider stops blocking the IP adress I need for the VM. They didn't respond yet.

Short: Server messaging and stats won't work untill I got my IP back in the VM! Anyways, I launched the DM server now on the host system, untill I can use the VM again.

Good to know! I was wondering if those servers (the Dreamping server aswell) were closed for ever like the Assault's one...

I didn't lagg after the Assault server had been closed.... you may contact your ISP.

So many guys said that it still laggs, not only in the forum also ingame. When I lagged, everyone, really everyone, said stop due to lag. I will definetely not contact my provider, everything is perfect with it.

I know that I already quoted Pricey, but this one is about Clone who seems to lag too.

+ the guys ingame who said they lag in matches, and we had to stop because of it.

Is it possible, that 50% of the players have randomly problems with their ISP? I doubt it. Why should every ISP start to suck from one day to another? That is totaly absurd.

Yeah was in a scrim with RRP the other day, we ALL got a big lag spike at the same time, about 3 times that match.

I played alot after we closed the Assault server and esspecially I used the UT3 server we have. Maybe I lagged one or two times for 5 seconds, but that's it. And after I shut down the CTF server (relaunched it and replaced the DreamPing.de server) the little rest of the lagg were gone.

Now, there are two servers gone, don't tell me it laggs, because CPU usage is max. 75%.

If you still lagg, contact your ISP, because I definetly don't have any lagg anymore.

Well, my experience was a couple of days ago, i haven't noticed it since so it is probably fixed.

Alright it's fixed. My provider just unblocked my IP's and the new VM with the DM server just came online and works fine. Stats and messages are back.

Btw. I need to refresh a lot to see the TX servers in the RepCom servers list when I didn't need any refresh before... could it be cause of all the servers Sandcrawler has set up?
