Well I would only see the fifth screenshot as being overfilled. As long as you don't make it like the Section 9 map it should be fine in my opinion. =) Also try to add some different textures (create new ones) maybe because seeing the same ones being used over and over again is kind of tiring.

Well why not doing somes simply maps ?
I mean rep and trando bases at the opposite, a middle, two possibilitys to go to the other base on the sides of the map ...
I make a mistake I know ^^

Like engine but without the vents :ugly: That's why Engine is the map the most played, it's the simplyest map to play tactical ...
It would be cool to get somes sames maps more to play in.

I agree with Samo.
We should make some very simple and symmetrical maps, but also some more complicated maps, which include vents, elevetors ...

since my vacations start, ive got time for modding and stuff, so ill probably make some maps :)

Thanks, but it's way smaller than the original engine. When I finished the basic stuff I might take a video, the screens do not show the map that good.

Still have not worked on the textures and map details, so do not judge the map because of them.
Republic and "Trandoshan" base wont be exactly the same, but quite similiar though.

Really nice!

Btw, add static meshes which looks like lightsources. This would make it more realistic.

Other than that, nonetheless.

ok, i got my unrealed runnin and i started working on a map today, its (just as samo said/wished) a map with identic rooms. also, i thought about some changes in case of the gameplay:

since we are doin a PROMOD, why shouldnt we try to create maps for tactical playing? in css, everybody got his/her own position and he needs to defend there, and use this and that hole to snip trough, etc. its not about camping at all, dont get it wrong ;)

it just means that i tried to build ways which can be covered good, but where u also can rush trough as enemy to get the flag back. i think this would make playing much more interesting. this is how it looks atm, but i will prbly add 2 more rooms with spawns in the middle on the left + right so its not too unfair for the team which needs to get their flag back (like rocket spawn for both teams on engine; but its better than this, cuz the flagrun routes are better so its not an epic spawn advantage)

I have one question : Iron :: You want to make a new symetric engine map. and you want that the both bases are same like the Rep base in the original Engine ? (Hope you understand my question, you know my english ^^)

my opinion about your map : you made too many vents :/ but it's just an opinion. Btw. Nice work :)

That is the comment I got most of the times, "too many vents". But they're needed for a good tactical gameplay and to make the whole map used, because it is not that big, without the vents it would be 2 rooms no one would use, 1 floor and 2 bases.

i have no idea where the hell anything goes lol...the vents are rly confusing...and i thought the point was to have less vents..but u added more....i prefer rooms to a bunc of vents liek a rabbit hole

it uwd be almost impossible to find people with the flag on that map lol
