I got a question: why are you guys crying about it? You ALL are in the same situation. I do only complain, when e.g. the other player would get an advantage where I'm still in the old situation what would result in a disadvantage for me.

true, but playing with this disadvantage (even everybody got it) is just not funny at all.

The Blaster is maybe not as easy as before and I'm sure you guys, who are pro, can live with this "disadvantage" and use all the other nice advantages of this setting.

well, i cant rly live with it, cuz the blaster is just fucked up. its so slow, theres no opportunity for getting used to it, its so slow, u cant kill ppl fast enough in most of the situations. shotgun got more precisely - GREAT! this gun was alrdy overused before, now its even more precisely and ppl will stick to it. its no fuckin still to use shotgun the whole time cuz u dont rly need to aim with spraying weapons. and, idk, but the sniper feels weird, too.

If it is all that bad I wonder how people could play with such a ping (since some players even had such a ping earlier) even before Vash increased the tickrate.

It's in no context with normal pings, it's in context with this pingboost shit. If you have a ping from 16 without pingboost it's great, but if you are "only" having such a ping cause of this pingboost, than it sucks.

Als Tickrate bezeichnet man bei Spieleservern die Frequenz, mit der der Server die Positionen der Spieler an die Computer der anderen Spieler, die Clients, weitergibt.

Wenn beispielsweise der Server mit einer Tickrate von 33 läuft, sendet er 33 Mal pro Sekunde die Position eines Spielers an die anderen Spieler, das heißt, er sendet alle 30,3 Millisekunden (1000 ms / 33 = 30,3) die Position an die Mitspieler. Eine höhere Tickrate hat den Vorteil, dass die Informationen zwischen Server und Client öfter ausgetauscht werden und somit die Hitboxen eines Spielermodells exakter auf dem Spielermodell aufliegen.

So, und wo sind dabei die Nachteile?

Unter anderem ist daraus zu entnehmen, dass gewisse Waffen in der Unrealengine tatsächlich unterschiedlich schnell schießen, was die Tickrate angeht. Jedoch ist das Gegenteil von dem, was ihr ansprecht, der Fall: der Blaster sollte demzufolge sogar schneller schießen, als vorher. Schneller schießen im Sinne von "mehr Projektile" treffen das anvisierte Objekt in kürzerer Zeit.

Damit ergibt eine langsamere "Blastergeschwindigkeit" schlicht keinen Sinn.

P.S.: Schonmal darüber gewundert, warum selbstgehostete Server "schneller" und "anders im Aiming" wirken, als unsere Publicserver? Ganz einfach, RepCom nimmt bei selbstgehosteten Servern tatsächlich eine höhere Tickrate-Einstellung als default-Einstellung. Nämlich 35, statt 20.

Jetzt kommt mir die Frage auf, wer zum Teufel mit Tickrate 20 angefangen hat.... denn dem haben wir diese sinnlose Diskussion hier zu verdanken. ;-)

Ich find den Pingboost wirklich gut, es gibt jedem Spieler der nicht mit einer guten Internetverbindung gesegnet ist die Chance auch mal mit nen niedrigen Ping zu spielen.

Naja ich würde mir wünschen das das ganze so bleibt, dann kann ich wenigens wieder normal mitspielen... und hänge nicht wieder mit 72 Ping rum.

played with a guy today on your public dm server, he had like 16ish ping. i was playin alright but really i couldnt do anything against him with blaster and i felt like i was laggin a lot (120 ish ping). to be honest it kinda looks like this made the people with lower pings better and higher pings worse.
