Spain will win against Portugal, without problem.

Re: Football Topic
I don't get why England's newspapers are comparing every soccer match with war and that stuff, as the "Sun" with their ridiculous headline "It's Germ Warfare", or the "Daily star" with the lettering "Old ennemies are back", and I also read about a headline saying "Earlier than expected, but better win the war now than later". Don't the English journalists have not anything else to think about than war? It's just football.

They are probably just doing that as they can't think of any 'decent' headlines.Ironhide wrote:I don't get why England's newspapers are comparing every soccer match with war and that stuff, as the "Sun" with their ridiculous headline "It's Germ Warfare", or the "Daily star" with the lettering "Old ennemies are back", and I also read about a headline saying "Earlier than expected, but better win the war now than later". They are just doing that as they can't think of any 'decent' headlines, and The Sun sucks.

Re: Football Topic
I don't read any french newspaper about sports mostly, i'm reading "Mundo Deportivo" most of the time. (as a Barça fan...

Re: Football Topic
Thats what i meant, i want to be a journalist and i found out that if you work for the sun, you can't use too big-a-words because the common Sun reader won't understand them. However in England theres always been a link with football and the war.. it just makes the headlines more catchy as they are being metaphorical
