with background player i mean that he doesn't pull off crazy skills or tricks. He plays efficiently, but unspectacular, which ,means that you barely notice him during a match. And if you notice him, it's mostly negative. That might be why you think he sucks.

And about Gomez, well he is not in form at all. His current form sucks, that's fair, but the player himslef does not.

You didnt get what i was saying. I said he's got a solid performence on the pitch, but so unspectacular that you tend to only notice negative things, which means that he still plays good most of the time.

You still don't get it. Solid doesn't mean neutral/standard. Solid means good. Good, nothing more. Not amazing, not spectacular, simply good.

Well for the Holland match, i fully agree with Ironhide. The game was anything but beautiful, but the amount of goals kept it from being totally boring. Gio v. Bronkhorst's goal was amazing btw
