Headset/Microphone

Could you help me please:
I don't know if my headset/microphone (Roccat Kave) isn't working anymore or my soundcard. But if I talk, nobody is able to hear me :/
I restarted my computer but the microphone doesn't work...
So I have to ask you...

99% it's a wrong setting in your audio control panel. Did it work before? Did you install new software? Do other programs work with your mic?

Yes it worked everyday before but now it doesn't wokr with any programm :/
No I didn't installed other programms.

If you say what settings are "normal" I can check the control panel
