Future Barca:

---------------- Valdez --------------
-- Alves - Silva - Pique - Fontas --
------------- Busquets ---------------
------- Thiago ----- Fabregas ------
-- Iniesta ------------------ Pedro --
---------------- Messi -----------------

Pretty nice lineup if you ask me

Thiago beasted U21, didn't ManU want to sign him? ^^ or another shitty rumour? Probably the last, oh well..

Maybe they should sell Afellay then, he barely plays.. and hes good enough for the level right under Barca, can see him doing well anywhere else  has 2 play more

Busquets won't last in the Barca team, he'll get kicked out soon, he's shit. Sanchez will be the RW, not Iniesta, I also don't see Thiago having a future at Barcelona.

@ Foxy - Rumours were that United were looking at him but he signed a contract at barca. He was upset for a while when he was apparently going to be included in the deal to bring Sanchez to Barca and him to Udinese, but they didn't want to include him anymore when he started doing well for u21s.

quite some youth players have no future at Barca..?

dos Santos doesn't, Bojan doesn't, Thiago doesn't, Fontas won't, Giovani didn't.. Soriano leaving too isn't he? Even though he isn't that much of a youth player

Pep has full trust in Busquets and as long as he coaches Barca, Busquets will play. Will be interesting to see what would happen under another coach.
Untin the Sanchez deal is official I wouldn't be so sure. The media say alot. I mean Coentrao was 100% sure at Bayern this Aprila ccording to the papers and websites.
Oh, and Thiago is being hailed as the best Barca youth players in years. People already call him the next Xavi and he's supposed to becaome a centerpiece of Barca's future plannings.

Busquets is shit ? Wtf ?
He is actually one of the best or maybe the best defensive midfield in the world, he's always where he has to be, he get the ball back in 75% of attacks, if you put Xavi/Cesc/Iniesta in midfield against a big team, it'll be worse than with Busquets, without him, Barça is not the same..

Silva won't come normally, i would love to see him under Barça's colors, but Milan won't sell him, Fontas is not at this place their, he played on the left in some matches, but he's better in central defense and in defensive midfield, Montoya will replace Alves on the right. Let's see the future to see if someone is good enough to be in the attack, like Deulofeu, a young big talent.

Couldn't think of a left back really. The only one Barca chased the last couple of years was Philipp Lahm, but he signed a new contract over one year ago and will probably never leave Bayern.

Is he shit? no.
Is he one of or THE best CDM in the world? Not a chance.
Xabi Alsono, Essien, Schweinsteiger, Sahin and Yaya Toure are all better in my opinion.

Pretty much all the big portugese newspapers reported that Benfica and Bayern were on even terms and that Coentrao will join us for around 20mio€. A few weeks later our sports director Christian Nerlinger said in an interview that it was al 100% made up.
And ye, Breno sucks

I know, there are not really young on the left back, Abidal can stay some years, Adriano too, will look for it.

I was answering to Pricey :
Mister Price wrote:

Xabi Alonso : Not the same style of player, he can be better, yeah.
Essien : Not now, Busquets is better.
Schweini : I think Busquets is better, too.
Sahin : I did not watch a lot of his match, i can't judge him.
Big Yaya : Busquets took his place in Pep's mind, i loved him, but i don't know which one is better.

Looking at the CL final, Busquets did an awesome match, he also did awesome matches. Some people (not talking about you) are just seeing him as someone who fall always, not really good, provoking others. That's true on some matches, i hate it btw, but he's amazing removing this.

A modern central midfielder has to do more than simply stop the opponent though. He has to direct the flow of the match, distribute the ball to his teammates, feature a high amount of tactical understanding and intelligance in his plays, be able to play a deadly pass and be good at his defending role, while representing a certain amount of damnger himself.

Types like de Jong, van Bommel or Busquets are good at reading the game and stopping the other team's attacking game, but they lack in the playmaking and goalthread department.
Players like Sahin, Ession or Schweinsteiger just got it all, you could call them complete midfielders. They have just the right ballance between offensive and defensive play. They take pressure off their own defence, direct the game and have a go at it themselves once in a while.

.
Busquets is awesome on the qualities you said, he's not that good on making the good pass at the right moment, or shooting, but the placement is his best quality, he is doing some good passes (don't find the one where his pass from the center is decisive), but he has Xavi/Iniesta/Messi to do that. He always take the best solution, Iniesta to be faster on the goalkeeper or Xavi to be more patient and waiting the good moment.

Busquets got all of this, but he's young and he'll be better in passes in the future, he can be a solution for Guardiola if Cesc doesn't come to take Xavi's place on some matches.
