in the past few days, i noticed weird things happening ingame.

a lot of people (also some members of tx) seem to use cheating software. i do not really know what it is, but as far as other players told me, its based on that mod tag-phobos created.

its a wallhack, including brightness- and colorchanges such as red heads and blue bodies, dark skins for walls, static meshes, etc., bright skins for clones/trandos and also something that allows you to shoot directly after you have switched to another weapon instead of waiting some ms untill you can shoot again.

i have played that game for three years now, i know what is normal and what is not, i know how far tactical knowledge and experience have an influence on knowing where people move to, etc.

to be honest, i dont give a f**k if you keep cheating or not, i still win most of that matches, but its a shame for teamxtreme that you are in need of CHEATING PROGRAMS because you cannot play properly without.

the most ridiculous and embarrassing thing i have ever seen concerning repcom.

honestly, i dont care if you deny all that, i wont argue with you. its just for letting you know how embarrassing you are.

If you want to play like this create something like a "Promod" so everyone can use the same stuff, but cheating is just kinda useless.

Geniuz, just make sure you are in the game first when they join it will give a message saying

'Tag phobos mod something something'

I've tested it and it does give an unfair advantage (it does not have a wallhack built in however), which is why I don't use it in Scrims/Interns. It's useful in public with the 'player monitor', it's a lot easier to kick guys with alt-codes etc, and the cheat stuff can be disabled easily.

That's not part of the mod, u can do that easily on retail.

Phobos' mod neither includes a wallhack nor does it include anything to change the time you need to change the weapon. And actually it does not change anything else but the skin of the enemies.

Yes you can change a lot of settings with it, but most are just for fun (for example that the map light changes every second or a nightvision, which is fun to have but totally useless in scrims).

The "wallhack" was actually a modification of Phobos original files and was never published, so in total, exactly 2 persons have it. Do not know how you can notice 'so many guys playing with it'. Also it is no real "wallhack" since you can't see through any walls, just through static meshes. So on 95% of the maps it is totally useless anyway, like on Engine, you could see through anything but the boxes or maybe the lifts. You cant see through walls, vents or into another room.

Btw. if someone uses it you will see it on his screenshots because people cant disable it without reconnecting, and it would be quite obvious when someone reconnects all the time before the match ends or whatever.

"Wait I need to reconnect to screen my killstreak - oh damn" - so people who use it rather have disadvantages. And furthermore there is a textmessage when someone joins the server which says that the person who joined uses Phobos' mod.

The only real advantage you got is that you see when someone changes name, and that it includes a "name log" so you can see all names a player used in that session. Very usefull to detect fakers, but not any unfair disadvantage in scrims.

Actually no1 is able to "cheat", since he:
1) Just could not hide it
2) The file in question is not available for anyone
3) There are no huge advantages

And since you can disable/enable all features as you want to, even if the message apperars that the player used that mod, it does not mean it has a wallhack or anything. He might alos just be using the name log. You'll notice on the screens then.

You can tell by ss if people are using. + Message at beginning.

You'd need some serious skill to remove that.

Also the mod makes you unable to use CV.

All matches in the last 2 days i played i felt like someone us using CV. Anyway is there any way to disable cheating on the server?

Read the topic. There are no usable "cheats" available.

I actually just know about 3 people who know how to use/create such cheats, 2 are in TX, none of them uses it. It is very complicated to do and everyone notices it.

Fast change is in the game. No mods needed. Yes fast change is pretty gay but we have no rule against it.

As if you would not use CSS configs or something else to improve the games performance. You can do it in RepCom too with this tool. many guys can even run the game now. lmao :o

I already told Iron my opinion about this issue and in my opinion this is just UBER-LAME if you use such shit. Even when you're able to see through a box and a retail-gamer can't do that, it is unfair and against all what TX stands for. Even when you say "95% it's useless" I disagree with this bullshit. Even if it would be 99%.

This is just lame and members of this clan should not use it!
