Judge, I don't remember playing against you, which would explain that. Doesn't really matter anyway. Sorry I do not agree with one of your members, apparently you would base you no vote on that.

I have enough to think about without all this BS, so if anyone wants to play me in a decent map, and if you'll allow me a little warm up beforehand (yes I am rusty, I'm the first to admit it) let me know.

1) You might say it's great for noobs, but that's the map in which I tested all applicants back when I was Gen, and I can assure you it gives voters a good impression of one's tactical gameplay, strategies, skills, and behaviour.

- No real way to kill people from behind (good to know to do this in matches, but not in 1on1's - doesn't represent aiming skills).

- Also you must know that it is normal you lose with a great difference of scores when you're playing against our best players: 15-0 is not a shame, and it does NOT mean you won't get in at all. We know how to judge skills regardless of the score.

- Talking about this, A17 is of course not liked by everybody, and most people prefer engine; but generally, voters know why they want you to play in this map.

=> Mainly because it allows us to test someone's nerves and attitude: a good player can lose 15-0 and even motivate the voter to vote for him if he behaved decently and didn't take the score at first degree.



Basically running with pistol in a 1on1 is totally allowed, so this is not the reason for my long post. What bothers me more is the following:


You want to join us and you have to prove us you're worth joining. This means you should definitely forget this "BS" vocabulary and this kind of arrogance in your application because it really gives us the impression you feel superior at a certain rate.

You seem to blame us for not considering the fact you have to get your old skills back: but beside the fact we got the message, remember you posted your application now.

Noone No-Voted you yet so you do not need to justify yourself: just go with the flow, train, and, most important: take it easy, and keep a good attitude !

Please stop feeling offended (also by this post: this is just a reminder that will help you get into the clan). Noone said you couldn't post your opinion, just do not make it in a way which looks arrogant to us (do you really think you need talk of our global rules to the DivCom?) !

I do fully agree with DC-17.
And I would only base my no vote on your behavior. I don't like when people argue when they are obviously wrong, it just looks so childish. Saying that A17 is not a "real" map is probably one of the most idiot comment I've seen here because it's one of the most played map since this game came out.
Just because you have lost against one of our best members doesn't mean it's map fault. I don't think that you would have done a better score on Engine (unless you prove me that I am wrong).
Sorry but it's just whining, and it's not what we are waiting from an applicant.

Ah well sorry if I seem arrogant, and I also do not understand how A17 shows any kind of tactics, I feel more or less like I'm in a flat, square, empty map, lol. Thats just me, of course you're allowed to like it :)

Yes I did decide to post my app now. And no I'm not at the skill level I was a few years back... hard to get to that level when you can only play vs randoms in public servers, I'm sure you'll agree with me.

I've never liked 1on1s, I get bored, especially in a straightforward map (once again, thats just my opinion). I don't like DM's actually, I much prefer CTF. More of a challenge maybe, than just plain slaughter :P anyway, I know its not easy to organise a CTF, especially just to test an applicant. Xfire me if you need a sub though :P

Also DC 17, as you say, losing vs your members is normal, which means they're superior, shoudn't the applicants get the choice of map? Just a suggestion.

I believe you when you say that you dislike A17, though I can't agree with you when you say that it's not a real map. It's why it sounded a bit like an excuse in my opinion. :P
You're not forced to play only 1on1's btw. Taking part is internals/scrimmages is also a good point.
