Well even if this guy doesnt know what hes talking about, he still has barely the same opinion as me. I dont like Religion either and I think its going to be the fate of humanity someday. But hey whatever, everyone can think what he is persuaded to think: ;D

IMO religion's are all based around a similar model. Powerful figure i.e. Jesus, seen as the "son of god" but is really just a representation of the sun. Has 12 disciples aka 12 months of a year. The whole death and rebirth thing is just to do with changing of the seasons and how the sun gets slowly lower in the sky then begins to come back up.

You can see it in loads of Jesus quotes about chasing away the darkness (so basically night time) and how he rises with you every morning.

Its all linked to the cycles of the earth and the stars n stuff. Many religions are based on having a sun as a deity.

I think its good for everyone to place their faith in something. Personally mine is in myself and the people i have around me.

It's true, that astrology plays an important role in all religions. Here some examples:

-The names of the virgin star: Maria,Myrra,Maya
-The 12 disciples? signs of the zodiac
-Birth: nearly same time as the Solstice
-easter: start of the longer days(more light > dark)
