It's time for a change. This season showed that Guardiola reached his lmits, he worked very hard the last 3 years, reached so much. I think he has nothing more to give and also he needs a break.

Barcelona has an amazing team and his tactic only works for them. You cant play that kind of offensive style with any other team and to be honest his defensiv tactic isn´t on a level on which you can win if you havent got such an overwhelming offensive. To be succesful with another team will be very hard for him since he has to change his understanging of the game entirely. So in conclusion: No he doesnt understand football more than all other managers. He´s nothing compared to Mourinho who can take a team like Inter and lead it to victory against a Barca-team which was/is simply the best in the world.

I partially agree with Shanks. Guardiola could count on players like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and so on.. but we can't forget what he did for Barça, he let many young guys play and some of them became important for Barça and Spain football in general (e.g. Pedro). If in football, the only important thing in a team would be his players, managers would be just useless and teams like Manchester City or Real Madrid would win their leagues every year. That's why Guardiola did a great work on Barça, with all the titles he won etc. But it will be really hard for him to repeat that in another team, building a new project is pretty hard in football nowadays (just look at Roma, here...).

When Rijkaard left, Iniesta was not at his best, he made him amazing, Abidal was bad, he is really good.
He put Messi in the middle and as a false "9". He just started with Pedro, and Busquets, they are just amazing now.
He had to face injuries, putting Abidal and Mascherano in central defense, playing 3-4-3..

About defense, it's bad this year, but look at the past 3 seasons, it was one of the best in Europe. Puyol is too old, Abidal got health problem, Pique is not good this year, he can't make an amazing defense.

I'm sure he can win somewhere else, if they let him putting his style.
Look at Bilbao and Bielsa, untill November they did not play really good. Their football is amazing now.
Of course, they can't take defensive teams like Chelsea, but in a young technical teams, they will be good.

And Mourinho, exept Porto he won with really good teams, he is amazing in putting players with him and listening to him, his tactics are not perfect btw.
I prefer Pep's tactics, offensive. I look at every matches, andit is amazing to see movements of players, for me Pep>Mourrinho

sry but you really cant blame the players for the bad defense in for example the game against Chelsea. All of them are amazing players almost every other Club in the World wishes he would have these players in their team.
