Sad news, but public servers are nearly empty now.

Though I always liked playing on public servers until last year. 32 players TDM or DM matches were awesome.

Many older games have mods with their own master servers.... maybe we could import this feature into the WP?

On the other hand: why wasting time and doing such a work for 20 people?

Well if this is possible why not trying to open at least one server multimod that would switch ctf -> tdm -> dm -> as. I remember a server was modded this way some years ago

It's not possible to get servers to appear in the public list without clients editing their game files to add the new master server. None of the noobs who play public are going to do that. The knowledgeable players would just join private servers anyway, so its kinda pointless.

The game actually has the line to use the epic master server which is used by UT99 & UT04 (which epic say is still online as they swapped those games away from GameSpy a while ago, however 333networks disagree and say to use theirs), however it doesn't actually try to use it and the line is commented out by default, so I would guess the master server connection is coded in, meaning a mod would be required to change it, again, people would have to download and install new files, rendering it pointless.
