The InternetProtocol (IP) is as you can say it your personal adress of the internet. Everything thats connected with the internet - PDA, Laptop, PC, Cellphone & more machines uses an IP(But since were all gamers i dont have to explain it to you guys). But the four billion IP numbers of the version we use at the moment (IPv4) are reaching their limit. According calculations its going to happen between 2010 and 2013. The end of the growing of the internet in its form as we know it is in sight. Unless every one switches to the better version IPv6, in wich case the IP numbers are as a good as unlimited. Here back in the über pwning country Holland the reaching of the IP limited is slowly being reconised. New internet company's are only able to get a new IPv6-adress, but most computerusers can reach that adress because there requirements are insuffiecent.

"We already know since the 90's that this switch is needed from the beginning" as internet scientist have declared. But the goverment (from most of the country's of course) and all internetproviders have just stuffed this "Quote" back into the scientists dark ***hole's. Now that we are running out of time, all internet providers are working on this with an extreme hurry to set this straight, atleast; that's what Erik Huizer said, the commisionare of the 'Taskforce IPv6' here back in Holland.This problem could have been solved ages ago if all the internetproviders werent this busy with collecting their money. Microsoft has alternated their controlsystems with an IPv6 and an IPv4. But the pathes that lead from our IP-numbers and further are still running intull this day with IPv4. Also these have to be switched on short terms to IPv6 just like the systems of all the internetproviders.

So my advice to you! keep an eye on this threat and switch to this new IP-version in time!

Yea ... that's definetly a huge problem from the internet... just think about how many people in the world have an internet connection PLUS all the webservers, databaseservers, voiceservers, fileservers, gameservers .... ALL of them have a different IP adress .... not difficult to understand that there will be not enough different IPs available for them ...
