A Message to TeamXtreme

Post by Pricey »

Hey fellow members,

I know i am not a leader, general or any person of command, but i would like to share my opinion on such a stupid topic.

In 2005, vash made a clan, he turned it into an amazing clan, such members as - Vash, whitewolf, inferno, blackstar, artman, animal, avelyn, hasero, Doomzday, Trickz, Monk etc etc.. these guys were real pro's who owned ingame and made themselves characters that people loved.. i remember when me and clone first played RC.. we played at his house, i killed ]-TX-[*Inferno{IGen} and i was like "WOOO". TX was the Elite, a force to be reckoned with to be hounest.

And no offence to the members nowerdays, but look at us now.. we're a division filled with spammers and "kids". So many members have left this clan due to the immature behaviour of our members, and after the departure of Shanks, i thought i would make this topic.

Where is the elite feeling in TeamXtreme? When i first joined this clan, i felt it was a privellege, now i see applicants who are 12 years old and go inactive for hundreds of years. TX has grown.. it has gone from 20 pros... to 100 inactive spammers and ingame flamers.

I request a tiny bit of maturity and respect from all of you guys. Does this clan want to be thought of as the ingame flamers?.. i remember being in servers with the pros who were nice and calm to everybody. Also.. whats with the mindless spam?? we have a MASSIVE section called "fun and jokes" for the fun and banter.. SWRC applications and off-topic forums do not have to be filled with mindless junk!... there are people now in this clan who have hit 2000 posts with "Love you <3" as most of their posts.. people like storm and artman have a small word cout.. but the maturity and behaviour of pros. I ask for a glimpse of respect to the community, is that too much to ask?

I totaly agree, i had kind of the same feeling when i was playing repcom back in 06. For me, TX was ÜBER LEET. All those pwners and pros that most of the times were so cool, they didnt even talk to anyone, and at this time i would never have thought that i myself will be part of it once.
Now there are all these kiddies, spammers and flamers, i think TX really lost its quality in terms of behaviour and attitude.

My solution would be, to stop flaming and spamming emediatly, and everyone who still keeps on doing it gets kicked, and cant't rejoin. May sound a bit harsh, but i think its necessary

Actually you guys are kinda blind. There are like 2 or 3 guys, who are being immature idiots or something like that, and you guys allocate the light to the whole clan, what's definetly not true.

If you guys think that TX is turning into a bunch of flaming spammers, you overreact in my eyes. We are a gaming clan, which is based on friendships and on fun. You guys are a little bit too narrow-minded in my point of view.

But that does not mean, that you can keep spamming and flaming! Don't do that, since it throws a bad light on us.

I just mean that the bigger part of TX are really cool and friendly people.

Well i dont think it applies to everyone, but i think that those 3 or 4 people alone have a huge influence at how people see our clan. If they start flaming everyone on the server will think tx is a flaming clan, and then this spreads. We just gotta make these few people stop.
Thats my point...

If u knew anything, we should address this to ALL members as a "warning".. why should we just write about 3 or 4 members.. we need to clarify that this clan needs to act like the "cream of the crop"

Pricey, my point is that the much bigger part of TX is alright. Only some guys are being idiots at the moment and it's wrong if you say that whole TX is changing ...

But yes, I would love to see more maturity here.

Pricey... what shall I say? YOU'RE RIGHT!
I've been here for a long time and I must admit that the TX image has changed. As you already said, in the past TX was really the non plus ultra but know there are some guys which really don't fit to this clan - let's say it this way...
Now the question is why? Of course many "old" members left or are incative and there are new ppl who got the Gen spot. But in my eyes the philosphy is another one today: I have the feeling that we want to get bigger and bigger instead of being a small group of "elites". I would appreciate the small group as everyone knows everyone and the feeling of togetherness is much stronger there. Sometimes I see members which I have never seen before and this is not like a clan as TX should be.
@Vash: I think you downplay the situation too much. I've heard Pricey's opinion very often and from many different members. I can understand that it's hard for you to admit this but if you have a closer look you must see that there's a huge difference of TX today and 2 years ago. This is not alone your fault, we all are involved. We can change it, but you as the leader must decide what kind of clan you want to have.

You all think about it, it's true!

The 'small group of elites' was the unprofessional TX.

We have turned into a big, mostly well organised, clan which has to stick to some rules to stay alive. Of course we have changed, but you see this change in any other 'professional' clan as well. We won't stay alive if we keep being a small clan with 10 members. Just take a look at RS: What would happen if TX would lose 5 of his 10 or 15 members? Yes, we would die.

You guys don't want to accept that the only reason, why TX won't die so fast is that we have a big and loyal community standing behind the scenes. The skill does not matter so much (and that's why we have so many different ranks -> everyone has the rank what sticks best to him), loyality and frienships are way more important.

As I said already: Yes, the problems with those flamers and spammers aren't new and every clan has those problems. The thing to do is to get harder penalties and of course people who open the eyes to stop those people acting like fags.

Yes, that's correct: TX won't die so fast due to the amount of members. But we have to be more careful what members we let enter. E.g. there are ppl like this applicant "Bayonetta". I can't understand why he wasn't denied immediately. Those are ppl we really don't need.

There are 2 things which must get changed:
1. Only the Gens themselves can test the app and post screenshots as a result
2. No flaming, spamming anymore, exspecially not in apps (""GL, add me in xfire....")*

*I said this somewhere before...

Well that's okay. But not if people say 'GL again ...' Why again?! One time is enough.

Plus it's not needed at all to say 15 times 'GL' by different guys... One time by the TX community is definitely enough.

Indeed

It is very annoying if an App gets 80 Replys and 80 % of them are GL. I think it is enough if some high-ranked like Vash, Krauser or a Gens says the standard and good luck getting in.

That means that e.g. no Private should test the app and post screenshots. We have no comparison then...
