Republic Commando Age Rule Removal

Hey guys,

Due to the situation of Republic Commando as a whole, we have decided to remove the age limit for applicants. This is simply because the game is not gaining any new players so we feel that players should not be turned away due to age, when they could make great TX members if given the chance.

Remember: This does not mean that we will accept every younger player, it's still up to the voters to judge if the applicant are mature enough.

Imo the idea is really good! Very soon we'll have a new applicant. I invited him. He's Shayna. Me and GeniuZ saw him in pub and imo he's not bad at all =).

I think this will bring in lots of new apps, and new TX members !! Now I need to be active in RepCom again, and then I'll app :) . Now I won't have members urging me ask the CC if I can join (due to my age) .

This is not necessarily true. We are still looking for maturity and good behaviour in apps. But this doesn't have to correlate with age. In other words you can have young people who are very mature and on the contrast older people who aren't mature at all.

Well Zarbon, you're not active in RepCom and that only affects that division so you won't be playing with younger people. You will only see them on the forum. The BF3 age rule is still 16 :)

Very few people play RepCom anyway, most who are good enough for TX are over 15, don't think there will be 500 9 year olds join...

I think it is very good that this rule is removed because a 18 year old can be very immature while a 14 year old can be very mature. And it was a weird rule too because it is very easy to lie about your age so I htink it is great that this rule is removed

I joined TX when i was 13 or 14. I don't think i was really immature. It depends, someone can be mature when he's 14 and someone else immature at 18.
That's why TX has voters...

Well this rule has been always confusing to everyone but I think it's good to focus on 'new' and mature people ... Nice decision anyway, just let the voters decide on their own, I guess they are old enough to take the good choices ...

raging, flaming and behaving in an inappropriate way does not really prove your maturity. If I were you I would think about that.
Let the voters decide, as War said there can be always an exception.

Why you guys don't give a chance to these new guys that will app for us? I mean they haven't started yet and you already say they will be kiddies and flamers. Some of them will be for sure, but recruiters know when to vote and not to vote.
