The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
Dear members of TeamXtreme,
There is one short, but very important thing I want to change regarding our Command Council.
From now on, the CC will only get active when a member requests it.
That's how our CC began and that's how it will run from now on "again". Due to this change, a CC judge cannot start any topic. Also, a CC judge is not able to request a CC decision. (Advisors are!)
Best wishes
Vash

Re: The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
We had good and bad decisions made by the CC, but when its members can't suggest anything on their own, everything would be blocked, good and bad ideas.
Whenever a member makes a request, the whole CC is going to discuss the topic to find a solution, it's the same with a request made by a CC member. Since a CC member can't decide alone anyway, why does it matter where the idea comes from? We should not care who suggested something but what was suggested and why. Otherwise the CC is working with prejudices now: CC members can't have good ideas. And that sounds pretty much like the CC members are not trustworthy anymore - how should it even exist under such circumstances? I'd rather suggest to close it then.

Liking the rule. Too much things were changed in the past, and most of the requests were made by the CC members themselves. Nice turn.

It's not about the trust, Iron. The only thing the CC was originally made for, is getting active by member request. But in the last time, the CC started to generate requests by themselves. That was not their original job!
By creating this rule, I did not judge any good or bad decision the CC made without member request! The thing is, a judge cannot be his own! Simple and clear.
Maybe I will bring another rule, where a CC judge stays a fix time and then gets replaced by a new one. In that way, a CC judge will turn "a normal" member or advisor (don't know details yet) and is therefore able to post a request.

Re: The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
I like the idea of where a judge stays in for some amount of time, then a new one comes in, and an old one leaves. But how long should they be a judge? How many members should the CC have at one time? I'd say 12 judges plus the advisors and Vash. We would get a new judge every month, so a judge would come in every month. This could be different though, and it is not my choice to make. But it is a good idea, and I support it fully. Good luck with this rule.Vash wrote:It's not about the trust, Iron. Re: The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
12 judges is unrealistic.
I'm also against rotating judges. The people currently in the CC are there for a good reason. Honestly I don't think you'd find enough suitable candidates to do a rotation. The only way it would work is if the number of judges was reduced to a lower amount.

Re: The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
I do fully agree to this change. The CC turned into a mess in the last year and it kind of lost its original job which is to focus on member requests. I mean that changing rules is rather Leaders's job than CC's.

Re: The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
theres couple of advisors and couple of people with bit of brain without a proper function aswell so that shouldn't be that much of a problemPenguin wrote:Honestly I don't think you'd find enough suitable candidates to do a rotation.

Re: The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
From my point of you your change is not thought of enough.
TX Judges are members, members can request stuff => TX Judges can request stuff.
If it would be like this everything would stay normal. If you forbid that it's unfair & stuipid because Judges can have good ideas, and if only none judges would be allowed to request stuff good ideas by Judges couldn't be introduced.
I also think the what and why is important. Even though I requested this "CC request board" a while ago with such a function, but my idea wasn't really introduced as it was supposed to: The CC should post the result of a request as topic in the CC request board before it is fully introduced, it stays unlocked for a period of time (1 - 2 weeks) if someone has doubts/criticism or a lot of people are generally against it they could tell it there and express their thoughts so that our result could be reworked or abolished.

Just for you I repeat what I said, 1eShit: The Command Council does not have the right to change anything without a member request. I talk about members, who are not in leading positions or high ranks.
Back to the roots!

Re: The TX Command Council - IMPORTANT CHANGE
That's what I actually talked about
Anyway, since I'm in the CC I just received 1 member request (about changing the brackets of the app tags
) I guess there won't be anything to do in the future.
