I got a key but wont play it anyway. EA sucks. Their SW:TOR EULA is worse than Origin's ever was.

Great, they need to know my gender and postal code and also want to access full information which hardware/software I use including IP and other device ID's.

And lots of other stuff. Personally, I won't buy any EA game again until they stop being totally gay with Origin/EA online and such things. I cancelled the pre-order of SW:TOR. Too bad there are enough idiots out there who'll buy EA/Origin games anyway and just feed the trolls, hence they won't stop spying the users...

No, I don't even like/play MMORPGs. The pay-as-you-go this is the main reason... RepCom will do just fine for now :)

When you buy it in the Origin store, it is. Then you have to use it for every game you buy there, even for games that came out before Origin existed (examples: Sims 3, Crysis 2 etc).

Maybe EA stopped selling the retail Sims 3 box? I'm not sure, but if so, you need Origin for it.

Yeah you need it to download and install but unless its changed from a few months ago you can run older games like Crysis 2 without having Origin running at the same time. Of course this may of changed since then.
