I am making a minecraft server, and my main question is

Is http://nitrous-networks.co.uk/billing/cart.php?gid=5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; legitimate?

I am wondering what it's like to make a server!?!?

Also if I DO make it any of you who have minecraft can be moderators much easier to get a promotion. unless I don't like you.

They are pretty cheap compared to other providers though. So you will likely find some areas which are worse quality than the more reputable providers.

I'd recommend Multiplay if you care about customer service or gameservers.com (if using these be sure to change server location to london/manchester) if you want cheaper at a small sacrifice of service.

We used to have a server last year, it started off quite well but there was never enough players to make it worth it and it died off relatively quickly.

:( that's sad, I have a few friends who will play on it, so it could be a private server if i wanted anyway!

my plan is a pvp world on easy (but more hardcore) and a pve world on hard for less "tough baby" people :D

I have a server by Multiplay. I paid 70€ for 1 year,but this was the christmas offer.

Yes its possible to have 2 Maps ( or more) on your server, but you will need Bukkit, and a lot of mods to give people the rights and to create the Portals to switch the worlds. (but if you want to do this, you will need a lot of Ram since the server will start lagging very soon, since the map gets bigger )
In Minecraft are so much mods! I'm sure you will find the right one for your use.

I might be able to be a Mod/Admin. I honestly don't care for PvP much, but I'm a Mod on 1 server and Admin on 2 more.

Sure thing alpha, but not strait away :3 you might crash the server or something, I sorta need to trust you - but being in TX is a big boost

It's ok, trying to get to level 20 in MW3 anyways (specialist strike package to get mass XP).

If it helps, I have used mods (no clients), and have used World Edit a bit (I get the basic idea and know the commands and know how to use it without the 'magic tool').
