Ever wondered how the machine, where our TS3 and all the game servers (such as 1337) are running on, looks like?

Here is 84.200.25.122.

In 2005/2006 TX was a german clan only. Then after like two years we began making our clan international with english as our main language... :-)

It's my own hardware running in a professional datacenter with highspeed internet connection.

I know you don't live in Frankfurt, but not too far away from it.

Also the physical distance does kinda matter, of course there are many other things deciding about the ping as well, but at the end it's always an advantage to live closer to the server. :)

For Americans it's an advantage to play on American servers and for Europeans it's an advantage to play on European servers... but a german player can get a better ping on french server, than a french. Only thing which decides about your ping is the routing.

Germany and France are small countries. If you live in LA your ping on a server located in LA will be much better than on a NYC server. Sure thing.

Yes. But if you have direct routing, even that can have a decent latency. It's still 95% about the routing.

For example our upcoming server in a datacenter in Hannover: Numb, as a Norwegian gets 26ms. I get, as a much closer german user, 25ms.

Website and TS3 is going to be hosted on that. Main game-rootserver won't be changed.

In France even if our ping is good on German servers (approximately 34-44) we don't have the advantages of having a good ping, especially with the blaster which often does not hit at all and snipers shots that go through the body without hitting. We can see the difference the night for example, here the blaster hits well, or soon in the morning it also hits well.

That's telling me that your ISPs don't have good peerings and therefore not a good routing.... probably they want to save money.

I remember when my ping was better than many french players on Volo's french server....

I told you, in france we don't have the "reduce ping" by default like germans our only one provider who do that is called Free with the Fastpath option.

i remember before i got 52 on your server, i went to free i got 32-36 then fastpath activated 20-24.

Faking security protocols... (other providers).

So divide by 2 French ping who arent with Free provider and you get his real ping or at least same quality ping as german have :)

It simple, in france good ping = Free with fastpath or internet via fiber.
