Major failure

Post by Illusion »

Damn...
Santa goes ill, Santa starts up the computer for some RC, long time no see.
Whut happens when I try to join a server then?

AAAAAH, WITH OUR NEW, GREAT, GORGEOUS GRAPHICS CARD: THEN rc don't work.
We run a fresh ASUS EAH 4850, a new processor (triple core now), and a new power supply. Y'know what? The power supply has got a FRIGGIN LED FAN, IT HAS TO BE GAMINGSTUFF. I havn't play'd RC for about six months, CS:S have stolen my time. It kinda annoys me that RC screws up when we got our all-new hot gaming stuff, SHIT.

I tried to join the tx-gaming thing TD, the map loaded, "connecting"-sign shows up. Then suddently im back to my desktop. "swrepubliccommando.exe has encountered with an error and has to be shut down" and all that "send" and "don't send" stuff.
Anyone got any tips how to hunt down and slay the errorfucker that screws up my game?
Thank you.

Good to be back here btw :'>

Illusion, i had a slightly different problem, everytime i started up RC, it immediatly crashed. The way i fixed it, i had to move all the files in the movies folder. just find the RC directory, GameData, Movies, and try moving them somewhere and see if it helps. It did for me. or you could try turning down the bump mapping effects, i have to do that aswell. If all else fails, you could always try using a no-cd crack (which i also have to use).

We had this problem like 5 times on our forums already. Bump mapping details in RepCom's GFX options to 'low' and it's fixed.
