Most Tournys go inactiv yes, but I don't see any reasons why we should not try it,
RepCom is realy boring atm and everyone complains about it, but almost nobody tries to change it and I became mad of everyone complaining but nobody helps or does anything against it...
Thats the same stupid statement as "I stop playing because not many people playing anymore" well one more who doesnt play and that won't help,
so if you only have stupid comments, keep them for you.
