Yeah lol. Anyways Gimp is pretty good. I've just got it and its not bad. In my opinion its just as good as PS.

well he needs to learn how to blend the render more...and the effects are to visible or what to say the lightning is coming from nowhere it just appears in the sig lol ^^ well gj for u´r second

If you are using GIMP but want an environment similar to Photoshop's, there is a plug-in that simulates it making it act more like Photoshop. Might be worth a look/google.

btw photoshop is the best sig making program

lol <3 photoshop.. i downloaded ps7 from a torrent and havent had any trouble.. but it is the best program.. ive used loads of programs and ps is the best by far. although elements sucks.. lol
