Well in French the use of "we" instead of "I" is a "polite phrase" in order to incorporate in the reader/examiner.

correct would be: Ich würde gerne nach Deutschland reisen, aber das konnte ich nicht(you dont need "machen" here), weil ich kein Auto habe.

So Legend's sentence is partly correct. Except the fact, that it needs to be seperated in two sentences and the wrong time forms. But I'd not write it like this, since it's grammatical correct, but doesn't sound good.

Best would be:

"Ich würde gerne nach Deutschland reisen. Aber da ich kein Auto habe, kann ich es nicht."

Wieso wirfst Du hier die Zeitformen durcheinander? Wenn er *jetzt* nach DE reisen will, *kann* er es jetzt nicht, da ihm *jetzt* das Auto fehlt.

Ergo:
"Ich würde gerne nach Deutschland reisen, aber das kann ich nicht, weil ich kein Auto habe." -> der Satz klingt bescheuert, so wie ich das oben schon erläutert habe. Immerhin ist er nun grammatikalisch korrekt. :-)

Also:

-> This sentence doesn't really make sense. And my german translation of it sounds weird to other germans, though the grammar is correct.
